I'm so excited to hear all your stories that you'd to make a long line
in the midnight, just to get the copy. What a magic U2 just give!
But, well, it's not that hot in Indonesia. There are no limited editions
here since I read on the Island schedule that Nov 9, is the day when the
regular U2 GH is launching worldwide. Maybe there are, but on a very,
very limited amount with a very, very high price. You've to pay more for
something exclusive. And there are also no long lines in the front of
the music shops on the lauching day. It's quite different situation with
the past, because our country right now is still suffering fron the
economy crisis. It's really, really hard to push anyone here just to buy
the CDs, when there's something more urgent happened here and needs to
be fixed right away.
Sound bad enough. Maybe I'm too cynical. But don't worry, I believe that
the passion and the spirit of U2 among the chain here remain the same.
'The sweetiest thing' is still higher than Alanis' 'thank u' on the
request charts on many radios here in Bandung. And if there's no rush
here, I'm no suprise, since the release is a compilation of all the
greats in the past, not a new album. Everyone's already got them on
their shelves, except 'the sweetiest thing'. I don't blame them if
they'd better keep the money for the next bigger odyssey of the band.
Sorry, we really have to keep the money so tightly right now.
Meanwhile, I congratulate you all for having the GH successfullly. Have
a nice memorybilia!!!
love in the distance,
trirahayu
