I agree 100% with Nik. Just because someone doesn't know all of U2's
songs or doesn't have all the "collectors" items doesn't make him any
less of a fan. I remember when I first became a fan, I had no idea
about any of U2's earlier albums but over the years I bought all of
their albums and became familiar with most of their songs. The idea
that some a guy (or girl) criticized this fan when he was just trying to
help out his fellow U2 fans is absurd. We need more fans like him and
flaming him because he isn't as "thorough" a collector as you is
defeating the purpose of WIRE itself. Think about the big picture
instead of feeding your own ego. Not every U2 fan in the world knows
what kind of underwear Bono wears to bed every night (like some of you)
and not every U2 fan knows all of U2's songs. You have to start
somewhere when you find a band you enjoy and I think we've all been
there :)
