The keyword here being *IF*.

Oh you just sell them right? So you get recordings that other ppl have
busted their butts to make and sell them for profit. Not that it makes
much difference who does what and who sells what to whom....everyone is
ripping everyone else off, if they can.

I dont think anyone doubts your *service*, but your pricing for that
service was in question. The fact that your not the only bootlegger out
there is irrelevant, Ive seen posts atacking a whole bunch of people who
are either unreliable or who seel their products at a way inflated
price. Your not alone in that regard either.
Part of the whole letting people "judge if your products are worth to
buy" is giving them the WHOLE story. Adding that CD-R's are extremely
cheap to buy and dont last nearly as long as normal cd's is a start. If
then a person still choses to buy, good luck to you.

You mean let them stay ignorant. You sell more that way.

Actually its messages like that that *prove* democracy(well freedom of
choice anyway...) is alive and well in WIRE. Giving people information
*about both sides* of the whole bootleg issue is only fair after all.

Ahhh yes of course! Release every single one of the like
1000(gestimated number I dont actually know how many concerts U2 have
done) or so concerts they've performed so that a handful (relativly) of
devout U2 fans can buy them. Sounds great....if you dont have to worry
about what a logistical nightmare that would be!
The cost of such a venture would be extremely great....and its more
than likely that they wouldnt make a profit at all (so donating it isnt
even an option). If they decide to do that they then have no room to put
these recordings on their other official releases (like the B-Sides of
Sweetest Thing).
