It's been quite a while since I last wrote to wire. Hmmm...can't remember.

Reason for writing : The Best of '80-'90.
Prognosis : Good order of songs. Has a sort of flow to it and makes a nice listening. Agree anyone?

U2 can come up with a million great songs but they still can't top "Bad". (!)

I love the old albums as much as they do. I have grown up with them and have slowly graduated to the "new" U2 sound. Well, I shouldn't really say the new U2 sound because their new songs still have the same U2y melody to it as the old ones. I mean they really haven't diverted too much off course in terms of the way they sound. Maybe a bit too much merchandising and polishing have been added to U2 but U2 still manage to surprise and impress old fans like me. No matter how many times they come up with a new "The Best of..." I will be there to buy it!

Once a U2 fan, always a U2 fan!!
