Today's Irish Independent (6-11-98) has a full page article "U2 -The Final
Verdict", which has a a written debate on the merits of U2.....one
journalist for U2, one (the infamous George Byrne, tries to make name for
himself for constantly slaughtering U2) against U2.
I don't know the web address of the Irish Independent, maybe some kind
Wireling would post it for others?...........as well as slagging Bono's 80's
"Charlie Nicholas haircut", he has the balls to say "Sunday Bloody Sunday is
one of the worst songs of all time!!!"...........it's certainly an amusing
article bordering on the hilarious!!
U2 set to pip OASIS to British NUMBER 1 spot!!!
It seems U2 + Oasis are neck and neck coming into the weekend but most
analysts seem to think U2 are moving ahead of Oasis before Sunday's
chart.......this is deemed to surprise believe it or not. Oasis's new
album is called The Masterplan (all bsides), ..........surely Liam
Gallagher's arrest the other night was not just "quick we've a new album
out, let's get in the papers again!! ploy, was it???????
