RE: [ONE] Best Of Limited Edition to be Re-Released in US

No offense, but I thought the whole "limited" scenario was a ploy to get
retailers to OVERpurchase copies for the first week.

(I was told that actual retail sales don't ALONE determine #1-album
status... HOW MANY units "get ordered" by retailers is a HUGE factor in
determining rank).

Polygram is desparate for some successful hype (like a #1 album).

Sorry, folks.
Business is business.

Besides, as someone said on WIRE, the B-sides ARE the real reason the
majority of the populace will buy the CD. (I'm confident that
"Everlasting Love" is responsible for over 15% of all sales)

Someone else said, remember when you first heard those B-sides?

They are GREAT songs.
Not just good songs, GREAT songs.
(so it makes good business sense to KEEP SELLING them).

My only lament (and it's not the limited/collectable argument...nor the
Polygram lied argument...) is that the later versions will have better
packaging.

Granted, I only paid US$16.99 for my USA copy...but the plastic case has
NO durability....
....and the liner notes and graphics are (to put a positive spin on it)
minimalist.
