GH truncated versions of New Year's Day & WTSHNN

What do people think of the shortened (presumably for radio) versions of
NYD & WTSHNN? For me, they are both no way near as good as the longer
versions, but then I've always liked their extended live versions of
songs as well.

Why do they always omit "maybe the time is right / maybe tonight" from
NYD? That's the whole emotional and intellectual point of the song, no?
The abbreviated intro is also a bit of a shock!

It is a pity they took out the brilliant ending of WTSHNN, leaving a
very average fade-out.

Also, in light of these shortened versions, it seems strange that they
used the long version of All I Want is You, rather than the single
version.
