OK! I'll just tell you. I'm wearing a black tank top..........my black
vinyl pants..........and my *brand-spankin' new* black vinyl jacket!!!!
AAAAAAAAHHH I'm so excited! I'm the female Bono! :) ha ha! Now all I
need are some rad Fly glasses, and I'm all set.
Would you believe that I got both the pants and jacket at a thrift
store? I can't believe someone would actually get rid of these. Well
no biggee, because someone's trash is now MY treasure!
And -may I add- that today, "Sweetest Thing" came on in a thrift store!
I was talkin' to my friend Natalie, goin' through shit loads of clothes,
and then I just *froze* when I heard it. Then I couldn't help but sing
along with it. Then I couldn't help but dance along to the "I'm
looooooosing you" part. How bitchin'. AND I betcha hearin' that song
in the store was a SIGN, because right after that store, we went to
another and I found the Fly jacket! WOO HOO!
One more thing:
Did any of you Southern California people listen to the radio station
Y-107 on Tues. and Wed. night, around 9:15 pm??? Well *I* was on it!
LIVE! On the air, baby! And my U2 internet buddy, KJ, heard me! That
was sooooo cool. What happened was I was supposed to give my opinion on
some song they played. When they asked me, "What do you think? Nikki
from Ventura...." I said, "I thought it SUCKED and Y'ALL NEED TO PLAY
MORE U2! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOO!" I went bonkers and I think the DJ
thought I was a total nerd. LOL, Oh well. :)
That was on Tues. night. *Then*, on Wed. night I got on *again*. I
called and they said, "Who's this?" I said, "Nikki." And the DJ said,
"Nikki from Ventura?" HA HA! He remembered! So they put me on again.
The song they played to review was a lame-ass Sugar Ray song. When I
told them I didn't like it and called it dorky, they said, "Yeah right.
That's just because it wasn't U2!!! LOL!" Then I said, "No, no....it's
not exactly that. It was just reeeeeally cheeeeesy."
Did any of you folks hear any of this, by any chance??? That'd be cool.
I wanna get on again tonight (Thurs.), so listen for me baby!!! They
supposedly have the same people on all week so......we'll see.....
Sorry for talkin' your ears off. Or shall I say, typin' your eyes off.
