yep - thats my understanding of things as well - and i think this was in
fact the case for some time... maybe a while later the shops we allowed
to sell the rest of the CDs, say a year or so later ?
definitely remember there being a 3 week limit on the CD.
i remember thinking how that was a thinly veiled attempt to force
a high-entry CD single in the charts, (i wasnt a U2 fan then - i would
be about a year after it was released hehe)..
having said that - the fly single isnt that hard to find actually - most
big cd stores have it.
Does anyone think the B-sides compilation will be a collectible?
hmm.. depends what you mean by collectable. if you mean "worth money
later" - then almost definitely no. however, if you are a u2 collector,
then missing this release would be a shame - especially as you get so
much material on it - its just worth getting for the b-sides.

hm. difficult to say - id expect you wont have much trouble finding
the thing if you look in mail order catalogues - you can still get
mint condition melon cds STILL SEALED in the Propaganda magazine!
.. and they were fan-club release only - not general public release.
make of that what you will.. :)
basically - i think it has "u2 collector" completemess value,
rather than actual value, imo. :)
