I think it's really pathetic that there are people on this list who
are searching for quotes just so they can complain, put down the band,
and bitch and moan. I don't see why some people are having such a
negative reaction to the GH release. It's OLD music. Ten to twenty
years OLD!!! This isn't interfering with the band writing and
recording a new album. I could see being upset if that were the case.
 But some of you are saying that they should only release a greatest
hits album only after they are done making new albums. What's the
difference??? They are still making new albums, and unless they come
out sounding exactly like one of their old albums, they are still
"kissing the future" so to speak.

We need to defend U2 enough from people who aren't fans, we don't need
to do it on a FAN LIST.

And responding to the person who said that Sweetest Thing wouldn't be
played unless it was U2. THAT'S CRAZY!!! U2 didn't get If God Will
Send..., or even Please really played on the radio. It's getting a
lot of airplay because people like it. It's a short pop song. Not
pushing any barriers I agree, but every song doesn't need to be that
way. All I Want is You isn't ground-breaking but it's great song.
How would they be able to "fuck up the mainstream" if they are no
longer in the mainstream???
