The quote that sticks out in my mind is one from Bono which i've heard
him repeat on numerous occasions - "Fuck the past, kiss the future."
I think you can find reference to it in Bill Flanagan's book (Until the
end of the world) when he's talking about some pants that Fintan (the
hairdresser) found. I've heard him say it in concert too, possibly
Johannesburg. To me it stinks of hypocrisy that Bono can tell us to
"fuck the past" while in the same breath trying to sell us U2's greatest
hits - tosser <g>
Anyway, i think it would be really nice if you could compile a list
of these quotes and post them to wire cos i'd really like to hear
them all. If i spot any more anti-GH quotes i'll let you know. I still
can't get over the fact that they're putting out this album btw, i'm
appalled.
