under a blood red sky cds

I have discovered something rather odd.
My friend and I both have a copy of the Under a blood red sky album CD.
One day i had it on while my friend was over and she was suprised to
hear an extra talking part during Electric Co. - the bit just after
the 3 minute mark where Bono sings " A la la.....2,3,4...why must I
(blah blah)"
which on my copy ends at around 3 mins 40 secs, followed by guitar.
On her copy there is simply guitar from the 2 min mark until 3 min 10
sec.
My Electric co. track goes for 5min 23sec over all, and hers goes for
4min 57. (sorry all these times are confusing)
On further comparison of these two copies, I've discovered that while
Electric Co on my copy is longer, some of her tracks are longer (track
3, 5 and 8).
I don't know if i'm making a big deal over nothing, but i thought it
odd - why would there be different versions, if only slightly. (By the
way, neither of the cds are scratched or jump/skip.)
Any ideas anyone?!
