-fans would be given the chance to tape their cencerts, or better yet,
they broadcast every concert
-they release a live album from every tour, with every song performed
on that tour
-the Sarajevo show would be free
-all album sleeves will be personally autographed (a three month delay
would be accpetable)
If U2 did it for money only:
-they'd make the bside accompaniment which will be available for one
week only, sold at a super high price or this one-time only limited
edition version (maybe $35 and up)
-they'd make a new album every year that sounds exactly like Joshua
Tree and not innovating
-they'd release many versions of singles with different accompanying
tracks and labelling each limited edition and selling them at a stupid
price
-Bare-bones JT Tour style with Popmart prices
-They'd tour only arenas and have "scalpers" under their payroll to
sell "scalped" tickets at $500 a piece
Obviosly, U2 don't fall under any of these. Thus, they have
deifnitely struck a compromise between love an money.
