It's been a while (at least 4 years !) since I have read my daily intake of
U2 info... It's good to be back.
For me the best gig was in Belfast. (Showing absolutely no bias at all !!)
It was arranged and put on in just 6 weeks.
Sound was awesome. Best sound I've heard at a concert, U2 or otherwise.
We had planes flying over the spotlights, WWII style, after taking off from
the airport close by.
40,000 people drank > 250,000 pints of beer in 4 hours. (Always the
makings of a good night !!)
Bono sang Please and dedicated it to the politicians here looking for
peace.
It was the largest concert ever held in N. Ireland (by about 30,000
people), the last time they played here was in '87 to 6,000 (wow!) during
JT tour.
Later people....
Paul
