Does anybody know if the "Boy" LP is still in print?
The reason I'm asking, is because I just bought one this weekend at a
record store that specializes only in imports. The one I got was an
import from the U.K. and I'm pretty sure it's new (it was in the "new"
section, and I can't find any scratches on it). The picture on the
cover is a close-up of the "U2 boy" with pictures of the band on the
back, and another one of the same boy. I read somewhere that the
"Boy" records released in the U.S. had a different album cover because
some people thought the image of the little boy on there might be
negatively misinterpreted by others (you know what I mean, don't
you?)....Am I right? So I'm just wondering if, by some good luck, I
found some kind of "rare treasure"??? Probably not, I know...but it
can't hurt to ask, right? As you can probably tell, I don't really
know that much about how much things are worth, what's in print,
what's not...what's rare..etc. I know there are lots of Wirelings who
are pretty knowledgable about this kind of stuff, so I thought it
wouldn't hurt to post about this. Somebody must know!
I'd appreciate any information...
The other question I had was about Larry's request in the latest
Propaganda for U2 singles going back to 1980. Is anybody going to try
to send him anything??? How do you find out what exactly he's looking
for??? Like does he want records or CD's??? I think it would be kind
of neat to be able to get stuff for him, don't you think?! I mean,
it's LARRY!!! Well, just curious if anyone's going to try to send
anything.
Hope my "Boy" question wasn't a dumb reason for posting--
Thanks,
Angela
