Thinking only of how het up I can get about Northern Ireland, not to
mention how murderous too many of my countrymen of either
persuasion can be, I am reminded of a Bono quote from a Hot
Press interview in, circa 1979, when he quoted, with reasonable
accuracy, the Irish poet, Patrick Kavanagh (I think it was
Kavanagh! Its ages since I sat down and actually studied
literature!!), who when asked his views on Irish politics replied,

        "Ireland? Sure all that is, is the thing that stops my feet getting
wet."

Or words to that effect.

And such wisdom from the puckish, callow 19 year old Bono, too.

By the way, Paul - who keeps slagging off people who disagree
with the use of his oh so elegant term, "Fagget"... If you were in
my class at school, and if I were your teacher, you would have no
chance of me believing that lame excuse!! Little boys like you are
such easy targets to any teacher!! Now grow up and be a good
boy, or I'll give you a hundred lines!!
