I received a call from a fellow wireling, who has a contact at Polygram
records, (in Australia) and he has asked me to post the following
information...
As you know by now the remix of 'Sweetest Thing' has hit the airwaves and
the video is being shot this week and will be released in October, MTV also
will be doing a special on U2.
News regarding the single release is there will be 2 versions of ST, the B
sides will be live... from Red Rocks and the Joshua Tree tour (Boston show).
The cover of the single will be Peter Rowan wearing a black breathing
mask... kinda like what was worn in the Gulf War... and Peter Rowan will
also be on the cover of the GH album. U2 are definately in the studio
working on the new album which should have a release around mid next year,
apparently a couple of the tracks so far have a 'Zooropa' feel to them.
Finally Molly Meldrum is trying to line up an interview with U2...
I just want to add that in no way have I intended to mislead anyone with
false information if in fact this turns out to be untrue... but this source
at Polygram has been very reliable in the past this is why I decided to post
this information.
