Caught the weekend edition a couple of weeks ago which closed with Bono
singing on a new benefit song and he sounded excellent, more emotional
depth and nuance than anything on Pop. Part of the reason is that the
band accompaniment was barebones giving him alot of vocal freedom rather
than being straightjacketed.
Have to agree with the other poster on his vocals, surprised me in terms
of their superiority versus the pop album and live vocals.
