Why does U2 want to leave Polygram?

Perhaps because of their treatment of their good friend Chris
Blackwell...i.e. removing him from the head of Island Records....he took
a chance with U2 when he signed them to his label and stuck with them
even though their first few albums were not mega sellers...he let Bono &
Ali use his Jamaican house for their honeymoon...we could go on and on
about the positive things this man had done for music....Bob
Marley...etc... The idea of U2 going with Warner Brothers is
interesting...although they apparently gave Prince some grief the other
people on the label seem satifisfied with the degree of artistic freedom
they have....or so I have read..i.e. Madonna and R.E.M. among others....
