I'm a very open-minded person. The part where I said that it might be
better if not everyone could get tickets...I had a little experience in
Chicago with this...I had an aisle seat, and there were people at that
show who were obviously just there for the drinks and food. People were
walking up and down the aisle constantly, and some of them even left
EARLY! The constant movement made it harder for me to enjoy the show.
I wasn't implying that we should make the concerts into an exclusive fan
club either! I think it's great when we get new U2 fans out of the
concerts. My mom and I took some non-U2 fans, friends of ours, with us
to Detroit, and after the show, I'm sure they were both ready to get out
there and buy U2's CDs. The more U2 fans the better...But I think if
tickets were harder to get, maybe we could eliminate those people who
are just there for the drinks and food.
I wasn't trying to make anyone angry by making suggestions. Like I
said, I'm a little divided on the issue myself. I thought that if
people gave their opinions on the issue, it would help me make up my
mind. I gave SUGGESTED pros and cons of both situations. It doesn't
mean that I AGREE with those. They were just suggestions. I thought
that was clear before, but if not, I'm sorry. That's all I've got to
say.
