official news from polygram re: mexico city and best of album

a source at polygram who is currently in l.a. (well, palm
springs, really) for regional meetings has just informed me
of the following:

u2 will release the dec 3, 1997 MEXICO CITY concert on VIDEO on
NOVEMBER 3, 1998. this street date is for the U.S. ONLY.
as of today, the only title is "u2 POPMART" with a possible
subtitle of "LIVE FROM MEXICO CITY". there is no artwork for
the cover, yet. the video is 135 MINUTES long, and the retail
price is $19.95.

u2 will also release a DVD of this show but the street date
is not yet known.

paul mcguinness is currently in new york negotiating the terms
of a possible contract for a GREATEST HITS album with a release
date of november 1998. although the details are not quite clear,
the SPECULATION is that this album will be like _rattle and hum_
with new as well as live tracks.
