My thoughts on the "Next U2"

I agree with the person who said that the "next U2" won't be coming just
yet. Personally, and this is just MY opinion, I'm pretty disappointed
with a lot of today's music. Most of the bands seem to be carbon copies
of each other. It gets so bad that sometimes I can't remember which
band is which! I'm probably one of the stranger teenagers on the
planet. While other kids my age are listening to Hip Hop (or whatever
it's called now!) Backstreet Boys, and Matchbox20, I'm listening to
Bruce Springsteen, Billy Idol, Dire Straits, and OF COURSE, U2!!! My
mom says it's like the 70s all over again...Nothing truly original
coming out (well, maybe not NOTHING, but ALMOST nothing!) I say we wait
a few years and see what happens...A positive note to whoever mentioned
Semisonic. Yeah, I'll admit, "Closing Time" is kind of a nice
song...and I read something very interesting about the band recently in
one of my magazines. It said that the band's rock idols are
Radiohead....and...U2!!! Another band with excellent taste!

And I'm not comin' down...
