Well, at least you didn't say IMHO. And I guess U2 doesn't share your
opinion, since they have covered a number of Beatles songs, including Help,
Dear Prudence, Rain, Helter Skelter, Happiness is a Warm Gun,...anyone know
any more? Why aspire to be as big as the Beatles, as Bono apparently did,
unless the Beatles were the pinnacle, if you know what I mean. The Beatles
were successful because they were damn good & they didn't stand still. If
you like, stick w/Bono's assessment, which is that U2 is much more of a
band than the Beatles ever were. That, I can live with. But sorry, the
mind simply boggles at the notion that the Beatles were "nothing special."
>P.P.S: I heared Alex Descends In Hell For A Bottle Of Milk
>This song rocks, but does anyone know the reason why they made this one???
>It sounds like a soundtrack for a film
Isn't it just bits & pieces of stuff they originally wrote for a stage
production of A Clockwork Orange? I think it is also on the Johnny
Mnemonic soundtrack.
