Damn...one thing that irks me is that Edge is 20 years older and by
todays standards he's old enough to be my father.
So getting that out of the way...I haven't written to Wire to a
loooong time let alone read through most of it. And I can only think of
one thing now to comment about and it's also a kind of warning. I really
love to shop for cds etc in the market area in Ottawa (Canada) and
sometimes I even find some great U2 stuff!
Lately, in one store inparticular, some U2 bootlegs have been
showing up, but the thing is they aren't really bootlegs - someone is
just copying them onto cdrs and selling them to this store. I can tell
its from the same person because of the same covers on the cds. I bought
one - a concert in Texas from the UF tour - in there and the other I saw
there was of the Sarajevo concert. Mine was $30CDN (I know that's a
regular price here for REAL bootlegs, so I'm still kind of mad that I
had to pay real bootleg price for a fake one) and the Sarajevo concert
was $57!!!!! Crazy crazy crazy. Everyone's getting ripped off. The
people who buy the stuff have to pay more because this person who's
making them sees that they can make big money on fake bootlegs by
selling them to the stores. Not cool. And the recording onto them isn't
that great either.
So I guess I just want to tell all the people out there who make
these cdrs that it's unfair to make someone pay so much.
