During one concert (it's available in bootleg of course because that's
where I heard it, I just forgot what shw and date), Bono said:

"When we were getting kicked out of the studio while recording for the
War album, we wrote this song in ten minutes, recorded it in ten
minutes, mixed it in ten minutes and played it again in ten minutes.
But that has nothing to do with why this song is called 40."

(did you get Bono's joke? 10+10+10+10=40!)

Then Larry and Adam kicked in to the song. Hope anyone can give me
information what concert this is from. Thanks!
