I've long felt that this is one of the most arrogant and assinine ways to run
a mailing list. You don't put people on a mailing list and then ask them if
they want off.
Gee, why don't you send everyone on the mailing list your merchandise and then ask
us to pay for it later?
>Some people still saw the need to rail on us for doing so.
Because, quite simply, you spammed us. PERIOD. You ***SPAMMED*** people on
the 'net.
>I think it was more of an invitation to a party, or event,
>not a "spam" as in the conventional sense
There are several definitions of spam. The AOL site states that spam is unwanted
email that has nothing to do with the topic of discussion, etc.. IMHO, the AOL\
definition is too conservative.
Here's my definition of spam: UNWANTED ADVERTISING.
An invite to a party? <LOL> Call it what it is: Advertising your site.
