I was also watching the VH1 special about Def Leppard. The singer,
(forgot his name, Joe Elliot?) was talking about how the group wanted to
go in a completely different direction musically, and how groups like U2
and REM were excellent at that, and were very well accepted by the
public with their change in musical direction. I thought that was
pretty cool of him to take notice of the boys.
