I had the most fantastic U2 type day yesterday! I had some money to
spend (which is really unusual...but it was my birthday last week), so I
hit my local shopping center in search of (what else?) U2. And U2 I
found.
Well my first discovery wasnt all that suprising....it was just the
October CD (I've been suffering by listeing to it on cassette *forever*)
and it was in the first store I walked into. For $14.95 no less (BIG
surprise....CD's in Oz are *expensive*!). Then I found "Rattle & Hum:
The Official Book of the U2 Movie" and "U2:Three Chords and The Truth"
at this second hand record/book shop.They also had heaps of U2 vinyl but
I didnt have THAT much cash on me so that will be my next project.
In yet another second hand store I found the "NUMB" vid. Its kinda sad
finding U2 stuff in second hand stores cause it means someone fell out
of love with U2 and sold all their stuff. *sniff*
Unfortunately I had to take all that stuff with me to uni for tutorial
sign ups (URGH!) but while standing in my 3rd line-up for like an hour
the (cute!) guy behind me was looking into my shopping bag(nosy!) and he
said "U2 rock!". YEAH! So I had quite a U2 type day.
Reading "Three Chords" has reasserted my obsession with Adam (not that
it ever wavered lol). Man there are some FINE pics of him in that
book!!!!!! *SIGH*
Is WIRE censored?? Sometimes it feels like it. I understand WIRES
rules and know they serve a purpose and are practical etc etc etc but
its almost as if there is more u cant/shouldnt post than you can. Just
my $0.02.
Reading WIRE lately it appears everyone's birthday is in June/July!
Well not everyones but alot of ppls. Isnt that wierd! Pointless too but
wierd!
Ok Ive gotten a few replys(7) to my post about the Syd WIRELING get
together thingy to see "Sunday Bloody Sunday"(coverband) which is
cool.......but Im gonna keep posting both as reminders and to drum up
some more interest.

P.S. Sorry about the marathon post from hell. There are only 2 or 3 days
