Stay (faraway, so close!) and City Of Angels

The similarities between the two movies are more than coincidental as
I've observed in the Stay video.

Both depict angels as wearing long black coats and in both films,
angels can become human from jumping off a high edifice. In the Stay
video, Bono became human in the end while in City OF Angels, Nic Cage
also became human by jumping from a high place. I am almost sure that
the parallelisms between both are not just coincidental. Did the
director or porducer or writer of City Of Angels ever credit Win
Wenders as the inspiration or did he ever mention Faraway So Close as
his influence?
