There is no doubt in my mind that they were the obvious band of the
'80's. I would like to see them as the band of the '90's as well. No
one has come close to what U2 has done for music and for tours. By
music I mean all the sound and ideas they have come up with and so many
other rip them off, never giving credit to U2. Smashing Pumpkins, REM,
Madonna, and even Metallica (with the glasses and haircut they wear
now.) Many band even hire Anton Corbjin to take album cover photos,
just so they can have the U2 look and feel. There are many influencial
people that are dead set against U2 being the monster that it is, like
the idiots at MTV. Who knows if they will become the band of the '90's,
