I just recently got into this U2/George Harrison thing. What a prick.
In a way I feel sorry for Bono and the boys. To have one of their idols
speak about them in such a way must really hurt you feelings. I would
hate for Bono, Edge, Adam, or Larry to tell me that I sucked or
something. I don't blame Bono for what he did, throwing the finger on
stage. It gets me upset that many were disappointed at Bono, he is only
human. Humans get hurt. I am dissappointed at Mr. Harrison, they are
all fellow mucisians. Just because he was once enjoying success and now
he is not, doesn't mean he should be a bitter old fool. I don't think
the Beatles are going to mean the same thing for me anymore. I should
not hold the rest of the Beatles responsible, but it hard when you Mr.
Harrison's voice and playing in the background. What U2 is doing is far
more superior than anything it the market right now. Sometimes, it is
as if other bands wait to see how U2 will sound. Then they start
working and ripping off U2's sound. Some examples: Madonna, REM, and
Smashing Pumpkins. I am not mad that they do it, but at least say who
is influencing you. Even MTV ripped them off, with the whole Zoo TV
idea. Their quick edit commercials and interference mumbo jumbo was
totally due to U2. And in the end, their videos don't get played, their
not on the MTV news, and no one pays them credit. This is my two cents
worth.
By the way, FUCK YOU MR. HARRISON, YOU BITTER PEICE OF SHIT. U2 HAS
ALREADY BEEN AROUNG LONGER THAN THE BEATLES AND WILL PROBABLY BE A
BIGGER MONEY MAKER. NOT THAT THAT IS IMPORTANT FOR THEM.
