LOS ANGELES, May 21, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ — Following Bono’s unexpected back surgery earlier today, Live Nation confirmed that the U2 360 tour launch previously scheduled for June 3rd in Salt Lake City has been postponed.
U2 fans with tickets to the June 3rd event are encouraged to retain tickets until updated show information can be provided.
We’ve moved the furniture around and given the place a lick of paint. The title of the story is a line from one of the new tracks, Unknown Caller, but it kind of captures what we’re doing with U2.Com. We’ve spent a few months giving the site a complete makeover – and responding to some of the features you said you wanted to improve your U2 online experience.
– Easier navigation.
– Cleaner design (check the Video in ‘Sound and Vision’).
– Media players with improved video and audio playback.
– The ability to ‘share this’ with friends.
– Commentable stories.
– News tagging and RSS feeds to allow easy access to site highlights and exclusive content.
– And a makeover for our Zootopia community area.
Keep checking back, there’s lots of updates still to come.
And if you’re a U2.Com subscriber please login for information on further upgrades. If you’re not, you might like to read about the 2009 Subscription offer – special access to the site, participation in a presale when the tour is announced and the limited edition double CD, ‘U2: Medium, Rare and Remastered’.
Our good friend Matt McGee over at atu2.com is embarking on a new book project called U2 Diary. He has put the call out to U2 fans world wide to help write it by sending in any helpful information like stories, photo or fact.
He has samples of what would be helpful info and what wouldn’t be helpful at his new website http://www.u2diary.com/
Good luck Matt! We can’t wait to see it on the shelves in our local book store.
