The 21st annual Pollstar Concert Industry Awards honored its own Wednesday night at the Nokia Theatre at LA Live in Los Angeles. The awards are held annually and honors the promoters, artist managers, booking agents and technical companies.
The winners are chosen by the people that make the concert scene happen. The show honored music artists and companies that helped the concert business in the 2009 year. It’s an insider’s look at which bands mattered in 2009.

Comedian Katleen Madigan hosted the show. A few of the celebrity presenters included Jay Osmond, Lamont Dozier, Don Felder, Al Jarreau, Alan Parsons, Rob Halford of Judas Priest and actor John O’Hurley.

Arena of the Year: Madison Square Garden

Bill Graham Award for Talent Buyer of the Year: Jim Glancy (Bowery Presents)

Bobby Brooks Award for Agent of the Year: Marc Geiger (WME Entertainment)

Booking Agency of the Year: Creative Artists Agency

Boutique Booking Agency of the Year: High Road Touring

Facility Executive of the Year: Rena Wasserman (Greek Theatre, Los Angeles)

Independent Promoter of the Year: Bill Silva (Bill Silva Presents)

International Arena of the Year: O2 Arena (London)

International Promoter of the Year: Barrie Marshall (Marshall Arts)

International Theatre of the Year: Royal Albert Hall (London)

Lighting Company of the Year: Upstaging

Major Outdoor Concert Venue of the Year: Hollywood Bowl (Los Angeles)

Nightclub of the Year: Club Nokia L.A. LIVE

Nightclub Talent Buyer of the Year: Paul McGuigan (House Of Blues, Los Angeles / Las Vegas)
